Andrea Mancuso

Andrea Mancuso (born 17 January 1981 in Pinerolo, Italy) is an Italian artist, sculptor and character designer working under the name Bakabakashii.

Graduating in Media Design from NABA Milan with a specialization in Character Design and 3D Modeling, his practice has evolved through more than two decades at the intersection of sculpture, digital craft and visual storytelling.

Rather than separating commercial experience from personal research, Mancuso approaches both as parts of the same creative language. His work transforms familiar symbols into contemporary narratives, where irony becomes a tool for observing vulnerability, identity and collective imagination.

Bakabakashii functions not simply as an artist name but as an ongoing universe in which pop culture, Japanese visual language and sculptural experimentation converge into objects that invite both emotional and critical engagement.
