Junk

Junk is an engineer who has always needed art. As a young man he spent hours in the cellar playing with the meaning of abandoned everyday objects, which he assembled to create particular messages. During the lock-down due to the pandemic, I know he is passionate about colors and his canvases have reached all of Europe, the United States and Japan. Junk’s latest art project is called #spinecolorate: in arid environments, succulents fill with thorns to save water and defend themselves from attacks. The artist imagines a world where everything is full of thorns (paintings, sculptures and objects) to sensitize mankind to take care of the climatic and social emergency. With this technique, which uniquely identifies him, the #petzcollection was born: animals, full of thorns, refuse contact with humans who have now become an enemy to protect themselves from.
